  1. Certification Types

In order to be sold in South Korea, electronic products are required to have KC Certification (Korea Certification Mark). Following a reform of the certification system in 2009, most product certifications are grouped under the KC certification system. There are three different certification types. The product catalog defining which products are assigned to which type is regularly adapted by the Korean authority. The main authorities accredited to issue KC Safety certificates are KTL, KTR and KTC.
